Dr. Kimberly Vazquez was born in New York but spent her childhood and youth being raised in south Florida. She earned her B.S. degree in Microbiology & Molecular Biology from the University of Central Florida, where she was a founding officer of the campus’ first optometry-based organization and outreach group. She went on to receive her optometry degree at Nova Southeastern University, where she was an active member of SVOSH, COVD, and FOA.
During one of her fourth year clinical rotations, she came to Atlanta and quickly fell in love with the city. It drove her to pursue a residency in ocular disease at Omni Eye Services from 2012-2013. Ever since, Georgia has become home to her.
Over the years, Dr. Vazquez has worked diligently at both commercial and private practices, specifically alongside ophthalmologists. She is well experienced with the handling of patients pre and post operatively, treating ocular emergencies and disease, as well as successfully fitting patients with their proper visual correction. Dr. Vazquez is beyond excited to join the team at Huffman Family Eye Care and looks forward to meeting all of her patients’ needs. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, which includes two little ones, and traveling.
